After 7 years the overflow had some loose gresites. Partly because it was made at the end of the construction so the constructor was tired, partly because flowing water is more stress on the tiles than still water, and partly because when cleaning engineer De Waal drags the vacuum hose over the edges.
Engineer Jansen is now fixing the loose gresites on the overflow.
If you tap them you can hear whether they are loose. In that case the engineer is unrelenting. *Chop!*
Could put the individual gresites back in place, but we still have some complete mats.
Bought a whole bag of tile glue, 25 kilo, as they do not have small bags. Well, it costs a euro per kilo, and is the flexible good stuff. so.
Engineer Jansen has been too generous (as he is) with the tile glue, so that has more or less filled the joints. Not good, grout has to sit on top of glue. So, out with his trusty Dremel!
And no, those discs don’t last long, even though these are the reinforced ones. The non-reinforced ones last 5 seconds, these about 5 minutes. Lucky he has a container with 30! eh.. 10.
All done. The haze will disappear. I hope.
