De kookplaat is er, en dat is fijn.

Aangezien we hier butaan in flessen hebben, er is geen gasnet op het platteland, moeten de sproeiers nog wel worden vervangen door types voor butaan. We zagen in het manual dat dat best een klusje is, voor de sproeier in de 6 kW wokbrander moet het apparaat ongeveer uit elkaar. Dus we bellen de Bosch Service. Weer een weekend zonder kookplaat, magoed, we gaan toch een keer uit eten. Schroef schroef, wring, klem, schroef.. We moesten de man wel in de gaten houden, er staan namelijk heel kleine cijfertjes op de sproeiers, en daar keek ie niet erg naar.

Dan is er nog de kwestie van het afstellen van de grote sproeier in de wokbrander. Het manual zegt dat je een afstand Z moet instellen op 11 mm. We hebben de technicus er niet aan zien meten. Heeft ie het wel...? Hmm. Het apparaat is nog niet in werking, want er mist nog een setje om een gasslang aan te sluiten. En nee, dat hebben we niet kunnen vinden. Daar komt ie later vandaag (morgen) voor terug. Ik besluit het ding maar weer open te schroeven, we weten nu hoe het moet. De afstand is nu: 4 mm. Dat is de goede afstand voor aardgas, maar niet voor butaan.

Alleen, 11 mm lukt niet. De maximale instelbare opening is 9 mm. Maar in de tabel voor butaan staat dat bij een wat hogere gasdruk je 13 mm moet instellen. En dat kan dus al helemáál niet.

We wachten af wat Bosch ons gaat vertellen. En ik ben blij dat ik toch heb gekeken. Al met al: we're not amused.

As we have butane bottles here we need to change the injectors from natural gas to butane types. We saw in the installation manual that is quite a job: you need to take apart the device to access the injectors. So we called Bosch service to do this. That went okay. We don’t have a correct converter for the gas connection, so the device is not yet operational.

There is one problem: we did not see him adjust the big injector for the wok burner. The manual we have tells us to adjust the space Z between two points to 11 mm. (see attached photos) So, we opened up the device, as we now know how, and looked. The space currently is ca 4 mm, which is the space for natural gas. However, the specified 11 mm cannot be set, the max opening is ca 9 mm. If you have G30 butane and a higher pressure there’s even a spec for 13 mm. But, that wide an opening is not possible at all with our device.

So our question is: what to do? We’re quite irritated and worried the device was “adjusted” as is now, as that cannot be correct. What would be the correct spacing?

All in all: we're not amused.
