Een huis op het Spaanse platteland moet je beschermen tegen termieten, want die zitten hier veel. Daartoe zijn 12 termieten detectors aangeschaft. Dat zijn plastic containers met een stukje hout en lokstof, die je om je huis in de grond plaatst. Zijn er termieten dan vinden ze de detector, vreten het hout op, en dan weet je: hee, termieten. En dan vervang je de container met lokstof door eentje met doodmaakstof, en dan ben je ze kwijt. Termieten zijn heel nuttig, maar niet in je huis.
