Het zwembad moet natuurlijk wel leeg, na al dat gewater.

Zwembad dag 7: terras // Pool day 7: terrace

Vandaag en morgen wordt het terras gedaan: beton om de tegels op te leggen, en dat alles netjes afwaterend.

Dat wordt het niveau van de tegels voor de deur.

Na schoenen wordt er nu ook aan het huis gekluifd. Nou heeft dit huis wel vaker last van geknaag gehad, maar toch.

Agua Riega en de oude buurman // Agua riega and the old neighbour

En na Zoomba's avontuur en een doorwaakte avond word je 's morgens om 6 uur wakker van gehamer buiten. Zijn ze nou al aan het werk? Maar nee, het was de oude buurman van de boomgaard verderop die wil water geven. En dan zit z'n deurtje vastgemetseld, want het water is omgeleid. Alleen is het om 6 uur 's morgens nog donker, en dan zie je het niet. En dan hamer je het deurtje er maar uit. Gelukkig is 'm dat niet gelukt, maar kapot is het wel. En ja, het lekt dus een beetje.

// After Zoomba's adventure and a late night in we were woken at 6 in the morning by hammering outside. Are they working already? Zoomba's avontuur // Zoomba's adventure

Het hek heeft een opening voor de graafmachine en ander werk. Eigenlijk was de bedoeling dat de grote poort groot genoeg was, maar dat is niet zo, de machine is te groot. Er is dus een stuk uit het hek en de muur gehaald. En een Zoomba, vooral een Zoomba, heeft dat door. En als er dan een vermoeden van kat is, of een hint van konijn, dan lokt de vrijheid. En die vrijheid is genóten. Van zeven uur 's avonds tot half twee 's nachts. En wat doe je in de tussentijd als bezorgde ouder? U begrijpt... Je laat het licht aan, de deur op een kier, en je kijkt af en toe of je 'r al ziet komen. En dan ga je toch maar slapen, maar met het raam open zodat je d'r kan horen binnensluipen. Gelukkig is Papaya ook fijn waaks, dus die had 'r eerder in de gaten dan wij.

Zoals een jongedame (ze is 3, dus 3x7 = 21) betaamt had ze na haar stapavond enórme honger, en dorst, en stonk ze naar gras en stof. Ze heeft het vast èrg leuk gehad.

En we zijn èrg blij dat ze er weer is.

And take advantage. Especially if there's a hint of cat or a suspicion of rabbit, freedom calls. And that freedom was enjoyed! From seven in the evening till half past one at night. And what do you do a a responsible parent? As you understand.. We let the light on, the door ajar, a window open, and you peek out of the window to see if you see her coming. Lucky Papaya has excellent hearing too, so she noticed Zoomba even before we did.

And as a youngster (that she still is at three years = 3x7=21) she was enormously hungry and thirsty after her escapades. And she smelled of grass (the cow food stuff) and dust. We're sure she had a terrific time.

We're very happy she's back.
