Maar, op het laatste moment werd de Galasa waterleiding nog even meegetrokken. En, dat is vervelend, want die zit onder het terras aangesloten op een koppeling. De waterleiding zit in een extra buis. Dat leek zo'n goed idee: een extra beschermbuis. Maar, dat is dus géén goed idee. Als je namelijk zo'n buis opgraaft gaat de buis niet stuk, maar trek je 'm uit de koppeling verderop. Als je een buis zonder extra bescherming in de grond legt trek je 'm gewoon stuk en is er niks aan de hand, want een breuk is zo te repareren.

Bij ons was dus de leiding uit de koppeling getrokken, en die koppeling zit 50 cm binnen de terrasgrens, onder tegels en beton. Een terras dat net vandaag voor de laatste keer is gesopt en gehogedrukgereinigd, want het is nu ècht klaar.

// But, the very last moment our Galasa drinking water conduit was pulled by the digger. And that is a drag, because that conduit is connected to a connector under our (new) terrace. The water tube was surrounded by another tube for extra protection. But, alas, that is not such a great idea. When such a conduit is dug up such a tube does not break,
but instead is torn from it's connector. If you put a single tube in the ground it simply breaks when dug up, and is easily repaired.

Here the tube was torn from it's connector, which is located 50 cm within the terrace border. A terrace that was finished today, and was pressure cleaned just a few hours ago, because it was finally finished.

Helaas, een paar uur later zit er al een uitgezaagd stuk uit het terras om de leiding weer aan de koppeling te bevestigen. En dat men dat nog gedaan heeft op vrijdagavond laat is heel fijn, want we kunnen nu niet zonder water. Het zwembad moet worden natgehouden anders vallen de gresites eraf, en dat zou heel treurig zijn.

// So, just a few hours later a piece of concrete and two tiles were sawn out of the terrace to reconnect the tube to the connector. It was very very kind they did that on a late Friday evening, without complaining,
because we cannot be without water right now. We need to keep the pool wet, else the gresites fall off.
