Fence and complaints

To put the poles of the fence into the very hard soil you use a big drill.

 This pole caused complaints by the "Pinturas", an elderly guy why drives by every day in a mini-van to tend to his lemon grove. Zoomba loves him. If she only hears his car in the distance she barks and jumps like mad, and must see him, only to smell a rabbit and completely ignore him.

Anyway, a heated argument with the builder that this pole really was impossibly placed, and caused the road to be seriously narrowed. Well, the road they had before, along the house, was 3 meters, with a nasty corner. Here the road is 4 meters 20, with a wide turn. This road when newly built was a bit narrower even than now, as the gravel gets washed and driven a bit to the sides. And that is where the new pole is.

Poor Viv, who passed by walking her dogs, was not allowed past his grove. When he drove away again he did wave. Hopefully he cooled off a bit.
